I’m excited to announce that I have been serving as a Clinical Supervisor at the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College in Austin this semester. It’s been a wonderful experience connecting with students in our field.(Side note: we’ve got some excellent acupuncturists in the making)
Because of my time on campus, my Monday and Thursday schedules have been shortened. If you have trouble scheduling an appointment because of that, please reach out. Otherwise, see ya in clinic soon!

I'm not sure how it's still Summer, but here we are, peeps. The heat this year is truly getting to me, and I'm not entirely sure how much more I can take. HOWEVER, watermelons of all varieties have been my saving grace, er, fruit this year. Here's a recipe that will get you out of your watermelon rut if you're in one, and into a watermelon frenzy if you're not there yet. Cheers! Hey all! I was doing a quick meditation two days ago and had the thought that I should share my favorite meditation app with you. So here it is! If you don’t have the InsightTimer app yet, I highly recommend you get it. You can follow them on Instagram at @insighttimer to check out their offerings and general vibe. Even if meditation isn’t your thing (email me if it’s not, I’d love to chat (read: convince you otherwise)) the app has stories, exercises, breath-work sessions, and talks. Give it a shot, fall in love with it and report back! Here's a quick how-to for some of the most common acupressure points. They're SUPER simple to do and very handy for life's little stressors. (Handy - get it?) I hope you find these helpful! Homemade bone broth is one of the easiest things to make in a pressure cooker. And because it's nutrient-dense, it's something you'll want to have on hand all year long. It's great to make ahead and freeze for cold nights, or for days when you need a mid-afternoon boost. *Note that Steps 1 and 2 are not necessary but will make your soup cleaner (boiling the bones removes impurities) and more flavorful (roasting them gives it a richer taste). You can also swap the vegetables out for your favorite or leave them out completely. I like to make a big batch of soup and freeze it in ice cubes. That way it's easier to defrost. Let me know what you think! |
